Casa Pedro
In 1702, Pedro Guiñales founded this establishment, naming it after his wife “Casa de la Pascuala.” The establishment was originally an inn and a stopping place for muleteers, cattle farmers, and all those traveling in and out of Madrid via the French road. Over time, the restaurant gained fame for selling garnacha and muscatel wines, with specialties including roast lamb, suckling pig, and local products.
Many illustrious figures have dined at its tables, including the young King Alfonso XIII, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I, as well as artists, bullfighters, politicians, journalists, businesspeople, and thousands of Madrileños who have praised Pedro for the quality of his cooking, leaving affectionate dedications that adorn the walls of the house.
The Guiñales family’s passion for wine led them to restore the old cellar once owned by the restaurant: a beautiful building with rustic and unique architecture in Madrid. It is a true temple for wine lovers.
Many distinguished figures have sat at its tables, including the young King Alfonso XIII and His Majesty King Juan Carlos I.
